    Isahluko 10—Ukuqhubeka Komsebenzi WeMvuselelo Elizweni LaseGermany.

    Ukunyamalala kukaLuther kwabangela umvukela elizweni laseGermany. Abantu babezwakala bebuzana ngaye endaweni zonke. Kwagcwala amahungahunga ngaye, njalo inengi labo lakholwa ukuthi wayebulewe. Kwabakhona ukububula, hatshi kuphela ebanganeni bakhe kodwa ebantwini abanengi ababelokhe bengakakhethi ukwamukela imfundiso yeMvuselelo. Inengi labantu lenza isifungo sokuthi lalizaphindisela ukufa kwakhe. {GC 185.1}IEP 185.1

    Abathungameli bebandla bananzelela ukuthi abantu abanengi basebezimisele ukuhlamukela imfundiso yabo. Loba nje ekuqaleni babejabulele umcabango wokuthi uLuther wayefile, khathesi basebedinga indlela zokucatshela ulaka lwabantu. Omunye wabafundi owahlanganyela laye, watshiya isikolo, esithi wayenikwe nguNkulunkulu uqobo lwakhe ukuhlakanipha kokuthi enelise ukuchaza ilizwi lakhe. Inengi labantu elalizimisele ukusebenzisa imizwa ekukholweni kwabo lahlanganyela labo. Umsebenzi wabantu laba wafinyelela endaweni ezinengi wenza ukuthi abantu bagcwale injabulo.     Izithelo zemfundiso leyi entsha zabonakala ngemva kwesikhatshana. Abantu bafundiswa ukuthi bangabali iBhayibhili kumbe balilahlele eceleni ngokuphelela kwalo. Izikolo zemfundo zagcwala ukudideka. Abafundi abanengi batshiya imfundo yabo baphuma ezikolo eziphezulu. Amadoda lawa ayecabanga ukuthi ayezaqhubela phambili umsebenzi weMvuselelo, ayesenza umsebenzi wokuwutshabalalisa. Abaphathi bebandla, bathola amandla bazebaphumisela amazwi athi: “Kusele impi eyodwa, ngemva kwalokho, bonke bazaba ngaphansi kwethu.” (Ibid, b.9, ch. 7). {GC 187.3}IEP 187.3

    ULuther wathi esizwa lokhu okwakusenzakala wathi: “Bengilokhu ngicabangela ukuthi uSathane uzasithumela into efana laleyi.” (Ibid, b.9, ch. 7). Waqedisisa isimo sabazenzisi laba ababezibiza abaprofethi, wabona ingozi eyayifuna ukwehlela umsebenzi weqiniso. Ukulwiswa kwakhe ngupapa njalo lomongameli kwakungazange kuhlukumeze umphefumulo wakhe okwedlula lokhu okwasekusenzakala. Phakathi kwabangane beMvuselelo, kwasekuvuke izitha zawo ezaseziyingozi. Amaqiniso afananayo ayelethe intokozo njalo lenduduzo ebantwini, ayesesetshenziswa ukuletha inzondo njalo lokudideka ebandleni. {GC 187.4}IEP 187.4

    Emsebenzini wemvuselelo uLuther, wayeholwe nguMoya kaNkulunkulu, njalo wayethunganyelwe ngokuphezu kwamandla akhe. Wayengazimiselanga ukuthatha izinqumo ayezithethe, kumbe ukwenza inguquko enkulu ayeseyenzile. Wayeyisitsha nje, esandleni sikaNkulunkulu esilamandla. Loba kunjalo wayehlala eqhuqha engazi umphumela womsebenzi wakhe. Wayeke wathi: “Ngabe bengisazi ukuthi imfundiso yami izalimaza umuntu oyedwa, kungakhathalekile ukuthi kalasikhundla njalo kayaziwa, khona okungeke kwenzakale, ngoba ilivangeli ngokwalo, bengingazimisela ukufa kulokuthi ngale ukuphika konke engikufindisileyo.” — (Ibid, b.9, ch. 7). {GC 188.1}IEP 188.1

    Ngalesi isikhathi idolobho laseWittenberg ngokwalo, elalikade liyisigodlo somsebenzi weMvuselelo, laseliwela ngaphansi kwamandla wokudukisa. Isimo lesi sasingalethwanga yimfundiso kaLuther, kodwa endaweni zonke izitha zakhe zazibeka icala phezu kwakhe. Ngokudabuka emoyeni wakhe, wayelokubuza kwezinye izikhathi esithi: “Kambe sekungenzeka, kubeyile indlela yokuqeda umsebenzi omkhulu kangaka weMvuselelo? - (Ibid, b.9, ch.7). Kwenzeka njalo nxa wayelwisana loNkulunkulu emthandazweni, ukuthi inhliziyo yakhe igcwale ukuthula. “Umsebenzi lowu awusiwo wami, kodwa ngowakho Nkosi, wena awusoke uvumele ukuthi ungcoliswe ngamasiko lemfundiso zamanga.” Kodwa imicabango yokuhlala khatshana lempikiswano leyi yabangela ukuthi angabi lesizatho sokwenza njalo.     Nxa wayebhalela uFredrick incwadi, ngemva kokumtshela ukuthi wayefuna ukusuka Edolobheni leWartburg, wathi: “Ngithanda ukuthi kwazakale kuwe mhlonitshwa, ukuthi ngiya eWittenburg, ngaphansi kwesandla sokuvikela esedlula esababusi bonke. Angicabangi ukuthi ngicele ukuxhaswa yisandla sakho esihloniphekayo, njalo angiceli ukuvikelwa nguwe, kungaba ngcono ukuthi mina ngivikele wena. Ngabe bengisazi ukuthi uzangivikela, bengingeke ngiye edolobheni laseWittenberg. Akukho inkemba engahambisa umsebenzi lowu.     Encwadini yesibili ayibhala esendleleni yokuya eWittenberg uLuther wengeza wathi: “Ngizimisele ukuzondelwa ngumhlonitshwa onguwe, njalo lomhlaba wonke. Kambe abantu baseWittenburg, abasizo izimvu zami na? UNkulunkulu kababekanga ezandleni zami na? Njalo akumelanga yini, nxa kudingeka, ngizibeke engozini yokufa ngenxa yabo? Ngaphandle kwalokho, ngiyesaba ukubona, ukumamatheka kobubi elizweni laseGermany, okuzabangela ukuthi uNkulunkulu ajezise ilizwe lakithi.” — (Ibid, b. 9, ch. 7). {GC 189.1}IEP 189.1

    Ngokuzehlisa okukhulu kodwa okwakuholwa yisibindi esikhulu, waqala umsebenzi wakhe. “Ngelizwi kumele sibhidlize lokhu okumiswe ngodlame. Angisoke ngisebenzise udlame kulabo abakholelwa emasikweni labangakholwayo... Akulamuntu okumele abanjwe ngamandla. Ukukhululeka kuyinsika yokukholwa.” — (Ibid, b.9, ch.8). {GC 189.2}IEP 189.2

    Kwagcwala amahungahunga edolobheni laseWittenberg awokuthi uLuther wayephendukile njalo wayezatshumayela. Abantu beza besuka endaweni ezitshiyeneyo, ithempeli lagcwala kakhulu. Wathi ephakama, wasebenzisa ukuhlakanipha okukhulu wacebisa, abantu njalo wakhuza ububi. Kodwa akungabi khona osuswa kule inkonzo ngodlame. Kumele sitshiye udaba lolu ezandleni zikaNkulunkulu, ilizwi lakhe kumele likhulume hatshi thina. Kungani kumele kubenjalo? Lingazibuza. Ngoba mina angibambanga inhliziyo zabantu ezandleni zami njengendlela umuntu obumbayo obamba ngayo udaka. Silelungelo lokukhuluma: asilalungelo lokuthatha inyathelo. Asitshumayeleni: konke okunye kusesandleni sikaNkulunkulu. Nxa bekungenzeka ngisebenzise udlame, bengizatholani? Ukunyukubala, lokuzenzisa...Kodwa bekungeke kube lokulunga okuphuma enhliziyweni, kumbe ekukholweni, kumbe ethandweni. Lapho okungekho khona lezi izinto, konke kuyasilela, njalo ngeke ngincome umphumela onjalo...UNkulunkulu wenza umsebenzi omkhulu ngelizwi lakhe kuphela okwedlula wena lami, njalo lomhlaba wonke ngokubambana kwamandla ethu. UNkulunkulu ubamba inhliziyo; njalo nxa inhliziyo sithethwe, konke sekunqotshiwe... {GC 189.4}IEP 189.4

    “Ngizatshumayela, ngikhulumisane, njalo ngibhale, kodwa ngeke ngibambe muntu ngamandla, ngoba ukukholwa kuyisenzo sokuzikhethela. Khangelani konke engikwenzileyo. Ngiphakamile ngamelana lopapa, lemfundiso zabo zokuthengisa umusa, labaphathi bebandla, kodwa angizange ngisebenzise udlame. Ngihambise phambili ilizwi likaNkulunkulu, ngitshumayelile njalo ngabhala, lokhu yikho kuphela engikwenzileyo. Kodwa loba kunjalo ngithe ngilele, ...ilizwi ebengilitshumayele, lihlukumeze upapa, okubangele ukuthi kungabi khona umbusi kumbe umongameli olihlukumezayo. Loba kunjalo mina angenzanga lutho, kodwa ilizwi likwenzile konke lokhu. Ngabe bengikhethe ukusebenzisa udlame, ilizwe lonke laseGermany ngabe seligeleza igazi. Kodwa bekuzaba yini umphumela walokhu?     Okweviki yonke, uLuther waqhubeka etshumayela phambi kwexuku labantu elalithakazelela ukuzwa ilizwi lakhe. Ilizwi likaNkulunkulu lamisa umoya wodlame owawusukhona. Amandla evangeli anqanda bonke abantu abesebethathekile lababisela endleleni yeqiniso. {GC 190.2}IEP 190.2

    ULuther wayengela sifiso sokubonana labantu laba ababedukisa abantu ngokulandela indlela yobubi. Wayesazi ukuthi kwakungabantu abangela kuqedisisa njalo abangabekekanga, loba nje babesithi balolwazi kodwa babengeke benelise ukumumatha amazwi wokuqondiswa lokuphikiswa. Babezinike amandla baphoqela ukuthi wonke umuntu avume konke ababekutsho. Kodwa njengoba basebefune ukuthi bakhulumisane laye, wavuma ukuhlangana labo; njalo waveza amaphutha abo wonke, okwabangela ukuthi bonke bakhethe ukusuka edolobheni laseWittenburg bengavalelisanga. {GC 190.3}IEP 190.3

Nxa uLuther wayebhala ngabathungameli bemfundiso leyi, wathi: “Kibo uMbhalo oNgcwele wawuyincwadi nje efileyo, njalo baqala bonke ukukhala besithi, ‘UMoya, uMoya!’ Kodwa ngitsho ngokuphelela ukuthi ngeke ngilandele lapho umoya wabo obaholela khona. Sengathi uNkulunkulu emuseni wakhe, engangisusa ebandleni okulabangcwele kuphela. Ngithanda ukuhlala labantu abazehlisayo, lababuthakathaka, labagulayo, abazaziyo njalo abezwa izono zabo, njalo ababubulayo bekhala kuNkulunkulu izikhathi zonke, ngenhliziyo yabo yonke befisa ukuthi bathole induduzo yakhe kanye lokusekelwa nguye.” (Ibid, b.10, ch. 10). {GC 190.4}IEP 190.4

    UThomas Munzer, wayengomunye owayehamba phambili kulabo ababedukisa abantu, owayelezipho ezinengi, ezazingaletha okuhle ngabe zaziqondiswe ebuhleni, kodwa wayengazange afunde izifundo zakuqala zenkolo yeqiniso. “Wayelesifiso sokuvuselela umhlaba, kodwa wakhohlwa njengabo bonke abantu abalomfutho ukuthi imvuselelo kumele iqale kuye.” — (Ibid, b.9, ch.8). Wayelomfutho wokuthola isikhundla lamandla, njalo wayengela sifiso sokuba ngumsekeli, loba okaLuther. Waqala ukufundisa ukuthi, abaVuseleli, ngesenzo sabo sokukhipha amandla kapapa befake iBhayibhili, babesungula umbuso ofana lokapapa. Watshela abantu njalo ukuthi yena kuphela nguye, owayenikwe umsebenzi wokuletha imvuselelo eqotho. Waqhubeka njalo wathi: “Lowo olomoya lowu, ulokholo lweqiniso, loba nje engeke ebone iBhayibhili empilweni yakhe.”- (Ibid, b.10, ch.10). {GC 191.1}IEP 191.1

    Abaphathi bemfundiso leyi bazinikela ekuthini balawulwe yimizwa lemicabango yabo, bathatha konke okwakufika engqondweni zabo njengelizwi likaNkulunkulu; lokhu kwabangela ukuthi bengabi lomngcele. Abanye babo bafika ezingeni lokutshisa amaBhayibhili abo besithi: “Incwadi iyabulala kodwa uMoya unika impilo.” Imfundiso kaMunzer yayiqophe ukuthinta izifiso zabantu, ngesikhathi esifanayo yayisuthisa ukuziphakamisa kwabantu ngoba wayefundisa ukuthi imbono lemizwa yabo yayilamandla okwedlula ilizwi likaNkulunkulu. Imfundiso yakhe yamukelwa zinkulungwane zabantu. Waqhubeka ngokuthi ukuthula enkonzweni kwakungalunganga, watshela abantu ukuthi imizamo yabo yokuhlonipha ababusi yayifana lokukhonza uNkulunkulu loBhilayeli ngesikhathi esifanayo. {GC 191.2}IEP 191.2

    Ingqondo zabantu, ezaseziqalile ukulahla ijogwe likapapa weRoma, zaseziqala ukudiniswa lijogwe lemithetho yelizwe. Imfundiso kaMunzer yomvukela, eyayibekwa sengathi ilesandla sikaNkulunkulu, yenza ukuthi baphume esimeni sokuzibamba balandele imizwa yabo. Izehlakalo ezimbi zalandelana elizweni laseGermany, amasimu abo agcwala igazi. {GC 191.3}IEP 191.3

    Ukudabuka kwenhliziyo uLuther ayedlule kikho kwengezelelwa nxa wayebona umphumela wokuthathela izinto phezulu ubekwa phezu komsebenzi weMvuselelo. Ababusi ababelandela upapa, baqala ukubeka icala kuLuther ngoba bethi umvukela lowu wawungenxa yemfundiso yakhe. Loba nje icala leli lalingela sisekelo, konke lokhu kwephula inhliziyo yakhe kakhulu. Kwakubuhlungu ukucabanga ukuthi umsebenzi weqiniso, kwakumele ufananiswe lokuzenzisa lokhu okwakukhona, kwabanzima ukuthi amelane lakho. Ngakolunye uhlangothi abaphathi bemfundiso leyi babemzonda ngoba wayephikise imfundiso yabo njalo waphika ukuthi babesetshenziswa nguMoya oNgcwele, kodwa wayeveze ukuthi babengabahlamuki elizweni. Ekuphindiseleni kwabo bambeka icala lokuba ngumzenzisi. Kwabonakala sengathi wayezilethele inzondo yabantu leyababusi. {GC 192.1}IEP 192.1

    Abathungameli bebandla bajabula kakhulu ngoba basebelethemba lokuthi umsebenzi weMvuselelo, wawusufike emaphethelweni; njalo basola uLuther langezinto ayezama ukuthi ziqondiswe. Iqula labazenzisi ngokusebenzisa amanga wokuthi babengaphathwanga kahle, bathola uzwelo ebantwini abanengi, njalo njengoba kujwayelekile ukuthi labo abahamba ngendlela engalunganga bamukelwa njengabantu ababulawelwa iqiniso. Ngalokho labo abenza konke okwakusemandleni abo ukuphikisa umsebenzi weMvuselelo, banconywa njengabantu abahlukunyeziweyo njalo lababandlululiweyo. Lowu kwakungumsebenzi kaSathane, owawuholwa ngumoya ofananayo owaqala ezulwini. {GC 192.2}IEP 192.2

    USathane uhlezi efuna ukudukisa abantu njalo abaholele endleleni lapho abaqala khona ukubiza isono ukulunga, njalo ukulunga isono. Usuphumelele kangakanani umsebenzi wakhe! Kukangakanani lapho inceku zikaNkulunkulu eziphikiswa khona njalo zisolwe ngoba bekhethe ukumela iqiniso ngesibindi! Abantu abasebenzela uSathane bayanconywa njalo bekhulunywe kahle, baphinde bakhangelwe njengabantu abafela iqiniso, ikanti labo okumele bahlonitshwe njalo baqiniswe ngenxa yokumela uNkulunkulu, bayatshiywa beme bodwa, bekhangelwe ngamehlo wokusolwa lokungathenjwa. {GC 192.3}IEP 192.3

    Ubungcwele bamanga, lokulunga okungaqondanga, lokhe kusenza umsebenzi wakho wokudukisa. Ngaphansi kwezimo ezehlukeneyo umoya ofananayo lokhe usebenza njengasensukwini zikaLuther, ingqondo zabantu lokhe zisuswa eBhayibhilini, njalo ziholelwa esimeni esenza abantu bathembe imizwa lembono yabo kulokuthi balandele umthetho kaNkulunkulu. Leyi kungeyinye yendlela uSathane ayisebenzisa ukuletha ukusolwa kweqiniso lokulunga. {GC 193.1}IEP 193.1

    ULuther wasebenza ngesibindi wavikela iqiniso elalilwiswa endaweni zonke. Ilizwi likaNkulunkulu lazibonakalisa njengesikhali esilamandla kuzozonke izimpi. Ukubalwa kweBhayibhili kwakuletha inguquko engqondweni lasenhliziyweni zabantu abanengi. Umbuso wabopapa wawubeke ijogwe lensimbi phezu kwabantu okwakubangele ukuthi bahlale ebunyameni bengela lwazi. Abantu babefundiswe inkonzo zamasiko okwakumele bazilandele, kodwa kukho konke lokhu inhliziyo lengqondo yayingela ndawo.     Abantu ababevela kuzo zonke indawo babebonakala bethwele iBhayibhili ezandleni zabo, bemele imfundiso yeMvuselelo. Abaphathi bebandla ababeyekelele abapristi lezinye izisebenzi zebandla ukuthi kube yibo ababala iBhayibhili, manje basebebiza bona ukuthi bezophikisa imfundiso leyi eyayintsha kibo. Kodwa labo babengelakho ukuqedisisa iBhayibhili njalo lamandla kaNkulunkulu, abapristi lezinye izisebenzi zebandla zehlulwa ngabantu abafananayo ababesithi abafundanga njalo bangabahlamuki. Omunye umlobi webandla leRoma waloba wathi: “ULuther wayefundise abalandeli bakhe ukuthi bengafaki ukholo lwabo komunye umbhalo ongasilo lizwi likaNkulunkulu.”- (D’ Aubigne, b.9, ch.11). Abantu abanengi babebuthana bezolalela iqiniso elalitshunyayelwa ngabantu ababengafundanga njalo ababesenelisa ukukhuluma ngalo phambi kwabantu ababefundile kwezokholo. Ukungazi okuyangisayo kwamadoda lawa ayefundile kwakusiba sobala ngoba konke ababekukhuluma kwakuvezwa ukuthi kwakungamanga ngokuvula imfundiso yeBhayibhili eyayicacile.     Umehluko phakathi kwabalandeli beqiniso wawusobala phakathi kwabo labantu ababelandela amasiko lemfundiso yebandla. “Kulabo ababephikisana lentshantshu zebandla, ababekhethe ukungafundi ngendimi zabantu lokuhlaziya imibhalo, kwakulabantu abatsha ababelengqondo ezivulekileyo, ababezimisele ukubala, behlolisisa iMbhalo, njalo befunda ngemfundiso yamanga. Babelengqondo ezikhaliphileyo, lomoya ophakemeyo, lenhliziyo eqedisisayo, intsha leyi yathola ulwazi olujulileyo ngesikhatshana okwabangela ukuthi kungabi khona owayesenelisa ukumisana labo ... Ngokunjalo, zonke izikhathi lapho ababebizwa ukuthi bazomela iqiniso phambi kwezikhwicamfundo zebandla laphambi kwabantu, babebahlula kalula zonke izikhathi, okwakubangela ukuthi abadala laba beyangeke phambi kwamehlo wonke.” (Ibid, b. 9, ch. 11). {GC 195.3}IEP 195.3

    Nxa abaphathi basebenanzelela ukuthi inani lamalunga ayebuya emabandleni abo lalilokhe lisehla, basebenzisa abahluleli ukuthi benze yonke imizamo yokuphendukisa abalaleli babo futhi. Kuzo zonke indawo ababethola khona abalaleli babeyenza leyo ndawo ibe lithempeli lokuhambisa ivangeli. Iqiniso elalitshunyayelwa ngamandla angaka, laligcwala indawo yonke ngamandla amakhulu. {GC 196.2}IEP 196.2

    Imizamo yabaphathi lababusi yokutshabalalisa iqiniso yaba yize. Bazama ukubaphosela emajele, lokubahlukumeza, abanye batshiswa, njalo abanye bagwazwa ngenkemba. Inkulungwane zamakholwa zanikela igazi labo, kodwa loba kwakunjalo umsebenzi waqhubeka.
