    Isahluko 25—Umthetho kaNkulunkulu Awuguquki

    “Kwasekuvulwa ithempeli likaNkulunkulu elisezulwini, kwabonakala umtshokotsho wesivumelwano sakhe ethempelini.” (Isambulo 11:19). Umtshokotsho wesivumelwano sikaNkulunkulu usendaweni engcwele ngcwele, endlini yesibili ethempelini.     Umthetho kaNkulunkulu osethempelini lasezulwini yiwo owawukhona kusukela ekuqaleni, ngoba leyana eyabhalwa ematsheni yaphinda njalo yabhalwa futhi nguMose encwadini zeBhayibhili yayingumfanekiso yaleyo esezulwini.     UMoya kaNkulunkulu wathungamela inhliziyo zalabo ababefunda ilizwi lakhe. Bananzelela ukuthi babephila impilo yokwephula umthetho wesine bengazi ngenxa yokungalandeli usuku lokuphumula olwabekwa nguMdali. Baqala ukucubungula izizatho zokugcina usuku lwakuqala lweviki endaweni yosuku uNkulunkulu alubusisayo. Ukwenzela ukuthi abantu benelise ukuma ekwahluleleni, udaba lolu lubatshela ukuthi “mesabeni uNkulunkulu, njalo limdumise,” “limkhonze yena owadala izulu, lomhlaba, lolwandle, kanye lemithombo yamanzi.” Umphumela wokwamukela izixwayiso lezi uveziwe eMbhalweni othi: “Nampa labo abagcina imilayo kaNkulunkulu lokukholwa kukaJesu.” Ukwenzela ukuthi silungele ukwahlulela, kubalulekile ukuthi abantu bagcine imilayo kaNkulunkulu. Umthetho lowu uzaba ngumgomo wokulinganisa izimilo ngosuku lokwahlulela. Umpostoli uPhawuli uthi: “Abonileyo belomlayo bazakuthonisiswa ngomlayo, ... ngosuku uNkulunkulu azathonisisa ngalo imfihlakalo zenhliziyo zabantu ngoKrestu Jesu, litsho njalo ivangeli lami.” Uyatsho njalo ukuthi labo abagcina imilayo bazakwamukelwa. (Roma 2:12-16).     Emazwini wodaba lwengilosi yakuqala abantu bayatshelwa ukuthi “besabe uNkulunkulu njalo bamdumise” njalo bamkhonze njengoMdali wezulu lomhlaba. Ukwenzela ukuthi bakwenze lokhu, kumele balandele umlayo wakhe. Indoda ekhaliphileyo ithi: “Mesabeni uNkulunkulu ligcine imilayo yakhe, ngoba lokhu kungumlandu womuntu wonke.” (Umtshumayeli 12:13). Nxa kungekho ukulandela imilayo yakhe, akukho ukukhonza okungamthokozisa. “Lokhu kuyikuthanda uNkulunkulu, ukuthi sigcine imilayo yakhe.” “Uba umuntu engawulaleli umlayo, lemikhuleko yakhe izakuba yisinengiso.” (1 Johane 5:3; Zaga 28:9). {GC 436.1}IEP 436.1

    Umlandu wokukhonza uNkulunkulu weyame eqinisweni lokuthi nguye uMdali njalo lokuthi zonke izinto zikhona emhlabeni ngenxa yakhe. Kutsho oNgcwele. Phakamiselani amehlo enu phezulu libone, ngubani owenza inkanyezi leziyana na?” “Ngoba iNkosi eyadala iphezulu, yona enguNkulunkulu eyabumba umhlaba yawenza...ithi ngiyiNkosi kakho omunye.” (Isaya 40:25,26; 45:18). “Yazini ukuthi iNkosi inguNkulunkulu. Yiyo eyasenzayo, singabayo, singabantu bayo lezimvu zedlelo layo.” “Wozani simkhonze sikhothame, siguqe phambi kweNkosi, uMenzi wethu.” (Amahubo 100:3; 95:6). Njalo lezidalwa ezingcwele ezikhonza uNkulunkulu ezulwini ziyatsho isizatho sokuthi simkhonze: “Ufanele wena Nkosi yethu loNkulunkulu wethu, ukwamukela ubukhosi lodumo lamandla, ngoba nguwe owadala izinto zonke, langenxa yentando yakho zabakhona zadalwa.” (Isambulo 4:11). {GC 436.2}IEP 436.2

    Kusambulo 14, abantu bayatshelwa ukuthi kumele bakhonze uMdali, njalo isiprofethi siyaveza iqula lalabo, ngenxa yendaba yengilosi lezi ezintathu, abagcina imithetho kaNkulunkulu. Omunye wemithetho leyi uveza sobala uNkulunkulu njengoMdali. Umthetho wesine uthi: “Usuku lwesikhombisa luliSabatha lweNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu...ngoba ngensuku eziyisithupha iNkosi yenza izulu lomhlaba lolwandle lakho konke okukukho, yaphumula ngosuku lwesikhombisa, ngalokho iNkosi yalubusisa usuku lwesikhombisa, yalwenza lwabangcwele.” (Eksodusi 20:8-11). Mayelana leSabatha iNkosi iyaqhubeka isithi, “luphawu...ukwenzela ukuthi lazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu.” (Hezekeli 20:20). Njalo isizatho esinikiweyo yikuthi: “Ngoba ngensuku eziyisithupha iNkosi yenza izulu lomhlaba, kodwa ngosuku lwesikhombisa yaphumula, yatshaphuluka.” (Eksodusi 31:17). {GC 437.1}IEP 437.1

    “Ukuqakatheka kweSabatha njengesikhumbuzo sokudala yikuthi lihlala lisikhumbuza isizatho sokuba sikhonze uNkulunkulu kuphela” ngoba unguMdali, njalo siyizidalwa zakhe. “Isabatha ngakhoke limi njengensika yokukhonza, ngoba lisifundisa iqiniso leli ngendlela edlula zonke, njalo akula eyinye into eyenza njalo. Isizatho seqiniso sokukhonza, hatshi kuphela ngosuku lwesikhombisa kodwa esokukhonza konke, sitholakala ekwahlukaniseni phakathi koMdali lezidalwa zakhe. Iqiniso leli ngeke lidlule, njalo akumelanga likhohlakale.” (J.N. Andrews, History of the Sabbath, chapter 27.) Ngabe iSabatha laligcinwe ngumuntu wonke emhlabeni, imicabango yabantu lezifiso zabo zazizaholelwa kuMdali njengeNkosi okumele siyikhonze njalo siyidumise, njalo kwakungeke kube labakhonza izithombe, labangakholwayo njalo labahlamuki. Ukugcinwa kweSabatha kuluphawu lokulalendela uNkulunkulu weqiniso, “Yena owadala izulu lomhlaba, lolwandle, njalo lemithombo yamanzi.” Kusobala ukuthi udaba olubizela abantu ukuthi bakhonze uNkulunkulu njalo bagcine imilayo yakhe luzababizela ikakhulu ukuthi balandele umthetho wesine. {GC 437.2}IEP 437.2

    Nxa kuqathaniswa labo abagcina imilayo kaNkulunkulu njalo abalokukholwa kukaJesu, udaba lwengilosi yesithathu luveza iqula, njalo kulezixwayiso ezesabekayo ezizakwehlela abantu ngenxa yamaphutha wabo: “Uba kukhona okhonza isilo lomfanekiso waso, obekwe uphawu ebunzini lakhe, kumbe esandleni sakhe, laye uzakunatha iwayini lolaka lukaNkulunkulu.” (Isambulo 14:9,10). Ingcazelo eqondileyo yemfanekiso esetshenzisiweyo ibalulekile ekuluzwisiseni udaba lolu. Kuyini okumelwe yisilo, umfanekiso waso isilo lesi, njalo lophawu lwesilo? {GC 438.1}IEP 438.1

    Amazwi esiprofethi esithola khona izibonelo lezi aqala kuSambulo 12, lapho esivezelwe umgobho owazama ukubulala uKrestu nxa wayezalwa. Umgobho uchazwe ngokuthi umele uSathane (Isambulo 12:9); nguye owafuqa uHerodi ukuthi abulale uMsindisi. Kodwa isandla uSathane asisebenzisayo ukulwisana loKrestu njalo labantu bakhe kwakungumbuso weRoma, lapho inkolo yokukhonza izithixo eyayihamba phambili khona. Ngale indlela nxa umgobho umele uSathane, nxa sikhangele isehlakalo lesi umele njalo umbuso waseRoma owawubusa ngalesi isikhathi. {GC 438.2}IEP 438.2

    KuSambulo 13:1-10 kuvezwe esinye isilo, “esifana lengwe,” esivezwe ngokuthi umgobho wasinika “amandla wawo, lesihlalo sawo sobukhosi, lokubusa okukhulu.” Umfanekiso lowu njengoba abavuseleli abanengi bebekukholwa, umele umbuso wabopapa, oyiwo owaphakama wathola amandla ayengaphansi kombuso weRoma. Nxa kuchazwa isilo lesi esifana lengwenya kuthiwa: “Isilo sanikwa umlomo wokukhuluma okuzincoma lenhlamba...Savula umlomo waso ukuhlambaza uNkulunkulu, lokuhlambaza ibizo lakhe lendawo ahlala kiyo kanye labahlala laye. Sanikwa futhi ukuba silwe labangcwele, sibahlule, sanikwa lamandla phezu kwemihlobo yonke, labantu, lezindimi, lezizwe.” Isiprofethi lesi esiphosa sifane xathu lendlela okuchazwe ngayo uphondo oluncane kuDanyeli 7, sikhomba embusweni wabopapa kungela kuthandabuza. {GC 439.1}IEP 439.1

    “Sanikwa amandla ukuthi siqhubeke sibusa okwenyanga ezingamatshumi amane lambili.” Njalo umprofethi uthi, “Ngabona elinye lamakhanda walo lingathi lilenxeba elibangela ukufa.” Futhi: “Lowo othumbayo laye uzakuthunjwa, lowo obulala ngenkemba laye kumele abulawe ngenkemba.” Inyanga lezi ezingamatshumi amane lambili achaza isikhathi esifanayo leminyaka emithathu elengxenye etholakala kuDanyeli 7 kumbe amalanga angu1260, okuyisikhathi lapho amandla wabopapa ayezahlukumeza abantu bakaNkulunkulu. Isikhathi lesi ngendlela esichazwe ngayo ezahlukweni ezisemuva yaqala ngomnyaka ka A.D 538 yaphela ngomnyaka ka1798. Ngalesi isikhathi upapa wathunjwa ngamabutho welizwe laseFrance, okwabangela ukuthi umbuso wabopapa uthole inxeba lokufa, njalo amazwi athi, “lowo othumbayo laye uzakuthunjwa” agcwaliseka. {GC 439.2}IEP 439.2

    Ngemva kwamazwi lawa kuyavezwa futhi omunye umfanekiso. Umprofethi uthi: “Ngasengibona esinye isilo siphuma emhlabeni silempondo ezimbili ezinjengezewundlu.” (Isambulo 13:11). Ukuphakama kwesilo lesi njalo lesimo saso kuyabonisa ukuthi ilizwe leli elichazwa lapha alifani lamanye avezwe phambi kwalo. Izizwe ezinkulu esezike zabusa umhlaba zavezwa kumprofethi uDanyeli njengezilo ezidla ezinye, ezaziphume “nxa imimoya evela inxa zonke, yayiqubula ulwandle olokhulu.” (Danyeli 7:2). KuSambulo 17 ingilosi yachaza ukuthi amanzi amele “abantu, lamaxuku, lezizwe njalo lezindimi.” (Sambulo 17:15). Imimoya imele ukulwisana lezimpi. Imimoya emine yezulu ehlokomisa ulwandle olukhulu imele izehlakalo ezimbi zokulwisana kwezizwe nxa zazithatha umbuso kwezinye. {GC 439.3}IEP 439.3

    Kodwa isilo esilempondo ezingathi ngezewundlu sabonakala “siphuma emhlabathini.” Kulokuthi sehlule eminye imbuso ukuba sithole amandla waso, isizwe lesi esichaziweyo kumele siphume endaweni eyayingela bantu abanengi sikhule kancane kancane ngokuthula. Sasingeke siphume phakathi kwamazwe omhlaba wasendulo, lapho okwakulolwandle “lwabantu, lamaxuku, lezizwe njalo lendimi.” Kumele litholakale emazweni asentshonalanga. {GC 440.1}IEP 440.1

    Yiliphi ilizwe emhlabeni omutsha elaliphakama ngomnyaka ka1798, elalibonisa ithemba lokuba lamandla njalo lodumo, njalo elalikhangelwe ngumhlaba wonke? Ukusetshenziswa komfanekiso lowu kwenza kubesobala. Kulelizwe elilodwa kuphela, elisuthisa lokhu okuchazwe yisiprofethi lesi, amazwi lawa akhomba ngokungathandabuzi elizweni lase America. Ezikhathini ezinengi amazwi kamambuleli alokusetshenziswa ngabalobi bembali nxa bechaza indlela ilizwe leli elaphakama ngayo. Isilo lesi sabonakala “siphuma emhlabeni;” njalo nxa silandela amazwi walabo abatolikayo, ibala elisetshenziswe lapha elithi “siphuma” limele ukuthi “ukuhluma njengesihlahlakazana.” Njalo njengoba sesibonile, ilizwe leli kumele liphakame endaweni eyayingela bantu ngaphambilini. Ukukhululeka kwezokukholwa lakho kwamiswa, wonke umuntu wanikwa imvumo yokukhonza uNkulunkulu ngendlela ayeholwa ngayo ngumzwangedwa wakhe. Amabandla asungulwa ngabaVuseleli aqhubeke emanyathelweni ebandla leRoma awokudinga ubungane lababusi bomhlaba njalo lawo asebonisile izifiso ezifananayo ezizanyathezela amalungelo wabantu wokukhonza uNkulunkulu ngendlela abafuna ngayo. Labanikela abanye, labalamawala, labagcwele ukuzikhukhumeza, labathanda ukuzithokozisa kulokuthanda uNkulunkulu, labalesimo sokukholwa kodwa amandla akho bewaphika. Baxwaye abanjalo.” (2 Timothi 3:1-5). “UMoya utsho ngokusobala ukuba ngezikhathi zokucina abanye bazakumonyuka ekukholweni, balalele omoya abaduhisayo lezifundiso zabomoya ababi.” (1 Timothi 4:1).     Ngemva kwesixwayiso sokuthi abantu bangakhonzi isilo njalo lomfanekiso waso isiprofethi siyaqhubeka sisithi: “Nanti ithuba lokubekezela kwabangcwele, labo abagcina imilayo kaNkulunkulu lokukholwa kukaJesu.” (Sambulo 14:12). Njengoba labo abagcina imilayo kaNkulunkulu beqathaniswe lalabo abakhonza isilo lomfanekiso waso njalo abathola uphawu lwaso, kuyalandelake ukuthi ukugcina umthetho kaNkulunkulu ngakolunye uhlangothi, njalo lokuwephula ngakolunye uhlangothi, kuzabangumehluko phakathi kwalabo abakhonza uNkulunkulu njalo lalabo abakhonza isilo. {GC 445.3}IEP 445.3

    Isimo esimqoka esibumba isilo, njalo lomfanekiso waso, yikwephula imilayo kaNkulunkulu. UDanyeli, nxa ekhuluma ngophondo oluncane olumele isihlalo sikapapa weRoma: “Uzacabanga ukuguqula izikhathi lomthetho.” (Danyeli 7:25). Njalo uPhawuli wachaza amandla afananayo ngokuthi “yindoda yesono,” owayezaziphakamisa phezu kaNkulunkulu. Amazwi esiprofethi endaweni ezitshiyeneyo alotshelwe ukuxhasa amanye.     Opapa sebeke bazama ukuguqula umthetho kaNkulunkulu. Umlayo wesibili owenqabela abantu ukuthi bakhonze izithombe, sebawukhipha emilayweni esetshenziswa libandla leRoma, njalo lomthetho wesine sewaguqulwa ukwenzela ukuthi benelise ukugcina usuku lwakuqala lweviki endaweni yosoku lwesine njengosuku lweSabatha. Kodwa abathungameli bebandla leRoma bayatsho ukuthi isizatho sokukhipha umthetho wesibili yikuthi awulamsebenzi, ngoba uphakathi kowokuqala, njalo lokuthi bona bafaka umthetho ngendlela uNkulunkulu ayefuna ukuthi uzwisiseke ngayo. Lokhu ngeke kube lutshintsho oluvezwe emazwini esiprofethi.     Abathungameli bebandla leRoma bayatsho ukuthi “ukukhonza ngosuku lweSonto okwenziwa ngamabandla lawa yindlela abahlonipha ngayo, loba bengathandi amandla webandla leRoma.” (Mgr. Segur, Plain Talk About the Protestantism of Today, page 213).     Kodwa amaKrestu asendulo ayegcina usuku lwangeSonto ngoba babecabanga ukuthi ngokwenza njalo babegcina usuku lweSabatha oluvezwe eBhayibhilini, njalo kukhona amaKrestu aqotho manje emabandleni wonke, okugoqela ibandla leRoma, abakholwa ngokwethembeka ukuthi usuku lweSonto luliSabatha elitholakala eBhayibhilini. Kodwa nxa usuku lweSonto selufakwe ngokomthetho ukuthi sekulusuku lokukhonza njalo umhlaba sewazisiwe ngeSabatha leqiniso, ngaleso isikhathi wonke umuntu ozakwephula umlayo kaNkulunkulu, ukwenzela ukuthi alandele usuku olungabekwanga ngamanye amandla kodwa amandla webandla leRoma, ngokwenza njalo uzakhonza upapa endaweni kaNkulunkulu. Lowo muntu uzabe ekhonza iRoma, njalo lamandla abeka njalo agcoba usuku lolu olubekwe libandla leRoma. Lowo muntu uzabe ekhonza isilo njalo lomfanekiso waso.     Isixwayiso esesabeka okwedlula zonke esesike saphiwa uluntu sitholakala edabeni lwengilosi yesithathu. Kumele kube yisono esikhulu okwedlula zonke esiletha ulaka lukaNkulunkulu olungaxutshaniswanga lomusa. Abantu akumelanga batshiywe ebunyameni mayelana lendaba leyi eqakatheke kangaka, isixwayiso esiveza isono lesi kumele sinikwe umhlaba wonke kungakafiki ukwahlulela kukaNkulunkulu, ukwenzela ukuthi bonke abantu bazi ukuthi yindaba kufanele bazihluphe, njalo bathole ithuba lokubalekela lokhu. Amazwi esiprofethi ayachaza ukuthi ingilosi yakuqala izakwenza isimemezelo sayo “kwabakhileyo emhlabeni, kuzo zonke izizwe, lemihlobo, lezindimi labantu bonke.” Isixwayiso sengilosi yesithathu, esigoqela udaba lwengilosi lezi ezintathu, laso kumele sifinyelele umhlaba wonke.     Ekucineni wonke amaKrestu azaba semaqenjini amabili, labo abagcina imilayo kaNkulunkulu njalo lokholo lukaJesu, njalo lalabo abakhonza isilo lomfanekiso waso njalo abazakwamukela uphawu lwakhe. Loba nje ibandla kanye lombuso kuzasebenzisana ndawonye ukubamba ngamandla “abakhulu labancane, izinothi labaswelayo, izigqili labakhululekileyo” (Sambulo 13:16), ukuthi bamukele “uphawu lwesilo,” loba kunjalo abantu bakaNkulunkulu abasoke balwamukele. Umprofethi wasePatmosi “ubona labo abasebesinqobile isilo lomfanekiso waso lesibalo sebizo laso bemi eceleni kolwandle lwengilazi, bephethe amachacho kaNkulunkulu” njalo behlabela ingoma kaMose leyeWundlu.
